MDGWeddings: It's been a while....

Wow, almost two weeks since my last post! I promise that it is not because I have been lazy or anything like that... I have been gone the whole week and had no internet access... But now I'm back and I will be actively blogging again!

So where have I been that I had no Internet access? Let me tell you, I went on one of the most amazing vacations with my family! We lived right by the lake Balkhash, enjoyed sun, sand and warm water every day, had lots of tasty food and made a bunch of great new friends! We lived in one little resort called "The Blue Lagoon" - really beautiful place. Here is the view of it from the beach...

So let me start from the beginning now. On July 20th at 9am the driver picked us up at home and drove us to Balkhash. It was a very comfy and fast ride with pretty scenery all around, it was all the same though, so I have one photo to share with you and that's pretty much what I could see out of the window the entire way there... Kazakhstan is huge and there are these vast steppes and poofy clouds all around.

When we got there we were put in two separate rooms: my mom and dad in one, and my sister and I in the other one :) Of course right away we went to the beach! The water was warm and the sun was very very bright and hot - amazing weather for swimming. As I was getting out of the water I saw a dragonfly "swimming" in there, so I picked it up and it was still alive, so I took it out and gave it to my mom to dry its wings. As it was sitting there drying in her hand, I took a few shots of that little cute thing :)

Then in the evening we just had some snacks and dinner, then went for a walk, and then tired but pleased with the day we all went to bed! We didn't take many photos the first day, so to finish my first post about Balkhash, here are some "snack time" photos :)
