Tina & The Pumpkins

With Halloween and other Fall Holidays coming up, I couldn't stay away from the "pumpkin shoot" idea; luckily, neither could my wonderful model - Tina. We decided to shoot at the Pierce College Farmer's Market, since they have a lot of pumpkins and other fun stuff all around. Everything was great: the music, the colors, the fun - great times! But....

...Just when we got to the center of the market by these cute little fake buildings (ironically, the one we were taking photos by was the "sheriff's station"), the owner with another security guard ran up to us and told me (not in a very nice tone) to stop shooting immediately...

I was almost scared, but decided to fight a little. So I started telling him how it was a student project and that I had previously talked to him about shooting there and he gave me permission, which he did. At first he was telling us that he would call the sheriff, and "things could get really ugly." Then he started telling us about people shooting all kinds of things there - even porn on the carousel (seriously?). But I convinced him that we were pretty harmless, and he let us go. Basically what I'm trying to say is that today was the first time I got kicked out of my own photo shoot :) But no one was hurt, the "student card" really works, so all of you photographers out there - always have that excuse ready!

Tina and I still had a lot of energy and we weren't done shooting. So we decided to go to a different location and picked a nearby park, which turned out to be quite nice for our shoot, and we continued our adventures!

Tina is great at what she does and just so much fun to work with!

We both left happy and satisfied with a great story of how we got kicked out of our photo shoot and still had a great time!
