Travelling back home.

So this summer I'm back in Kazakhstan visiting my family. I just arrived here on June 12, and it has been so much fun so far! I took some pictures on the way here, some from the plane, some at the airports... I started at LAX, went to Moscow and then to Astana Airport. Total number of hours in the air was 16... plus 3 more in the car to get home. Fun trip! Anyway, here are some photos! (The first one is the frost on my airplane window)

Took these next few photos at the airport in Moscow. It was nice and quiet and all of a sudden a pretty bad rainstorm started, it was really pouring and I was so afraid of flying... Our flight was an hour late because of weather, but we got home all safe!

And while I was waiting to get on the plane, I was so thirsty and hungry I had to get some dinner! Then I finally got on that plane, saw one of the most amazing sunrises I have ever seen, and finally met with my family! Took some shots on the drive home, too...
I want to tell a little about these last two photos. The first one is an old abandoned gas station and the last one is a big factory that looks like this or even worse pretty much all the time. It is located very close to a small city, so people have to breathe this air every day... it's pretty sad.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the photos!

Welcome to my blog!

Hello everyone!
Welcome, welcome :) I'm so happy you stopped by to read this! I guess I will start by introducing myself. My name is Marina, I am from Kazakhstan, which is a pretty big, but a pretty unknown country. Well, at least it has been until that movie came out... I moved to the United States about three years ago, and I am married to my wonderful husband Greg. I have been going to school for Photography for a couple of years now, and I really love what I do. I mostly enjoy photographing people, but whenever I see something beautiful or just something cute and unusual I can't help but take a picture. This blog is mostly for my photography, since that is what I do more than anything, and also because I have never been too much of a writer :)

Here I will combine my
work from professional photo shoots with my personal photos and little stories, so hopefully as you are enjoying my photography you will also get to know me a little bit better!
